Mini Medics First Aid courses
This is a very basic introduction to First Aid for children and aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11, but it can suit children of any age.
The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies.
The course will show complete respect for the child’s ability, make it educational and practical, and instil the importance of helping someone who is poorly or injured.
This is a massive and unique opportunity for you to expand your training provision into an area that is there year on year with over 4 million children being your target audience!
This flexible course is aimed at:
• Primary schools
• Sports clubs
• Organisations such as cubs and brownies
Syllabus: A 3-hour course consisting of class interaction and practical training.
A range of subjects are covered including:
- What is First Aid?
- First Aid kits
- Recovery position
- Choking
- Resuscitation (CPR)
- DR ABC
- Wounds and bleeding
- Asthma
- Shock
- Safety
- Communication and contacting the emergency services
Each Mini Medic will receive a training pack containing:
- Fully illustrated 24-page ‘First Aid for Children’ book
- A unique syringe pen in red or blue
- A 5-page worksheet
- Mini Medics certificate of attendance
